1. Who we are
Ecoponia is a Brazilian startup specializing in vertical aeroponic systems. This site, Beyond the Soil (ecoponia.ai), is an educational blog about aeroponics and hydroponics. For questions about this policy, contact us at gustavo@ecoponia.ai.
2. What data we collect and why
We collect only the data strictly necessary to run this site. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address, solely to send you educational content about aeroponics and hydroponics. When you browse the site, we automatically collect data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site, through Google Analytics cookies, used only to improve the site’s content.
3. Legal basis
We process your data based on your explicit consent, given when you subscribe to our newsletter. If you are a California resident, you may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); we aim to honor these even though our current scale may fall under CCPA’s small-business threshold. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. How we store your data
Newsletter data is stored on Hostinger Reach, on secure, encrypted servers. Browsing data is processed by Google Analytics. Because Ecoponia is based in Brazil, your data may be stored or processed outside the United States.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is only accessed by our infrastructure providers, Hostinger and Google, to operate the services described here.
6. Cookies
This site uses cookies for functionality and traffic analysis. Google Analytics cookies collect data anonymously. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect your experience on the site.
7. Your rights
You have the right to: confirm whether your data is processed; access it; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact gustavo@ecoponia.ai. If you are a California resident, this includes rights under the CCPA to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. Ecoponia does not sell personal information.
8. Unsubscribing from the newsletter
You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email we send. Your data is removed from the list within 5 business days.
9. Affiliate program
This site participates in the Amazon Associates program. Some pages and articles contain links to external products. When you click these links and make a purchase, Ecoponia may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Product prices and availability are the sole responsibility of the respective sellers. Ecoponia only recommends products it considers relevant to the content, regardless of commission.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, including the LGPD (Lei nº 13.709/2018), where Ecoponia is legally established. Because this site serves users in the United States, we also aim to comply with applicable U.S. consumer protection and state privacy laws, including the CCPA for California residents. Where the two conflict, Brazilian law governs Ecoponia as a company, while U.S. law governs the protections offered to U.S. users under this policy.
